MEETING MINUTES ARCHIVE

Minutes from December 15, 2008 – Conrad Library – 6:00 P.M.

Attendees: Geri Renai Brainard, John “Ozzie” Cheban, Kris Fletcher,
Jim Hudson, Sue Nicholson Laushey, Tim Laushey,
Connie Nichols Marro, Harry Rogerson, Faith Carter Simpers,
Eleanor Badders Steele, Susan Strawbridge,
Mary Ellen Daily Vitsorek, Vice Principal Andy Vincent

Fundraisers
> 23 license plates have been purchased
> 16 bricks have been purchased; Vice Principal Vincent indicated he had a check for more bricks

Beef and Beer
> 170 people attended
> $8,286 raised (after expenses)
> PTO was happy with the event but hope to make it bigger next year
> Considering holding 2009 event Friday evening prior to Homecoming Game

Vice Principal Andy Vincent mentioned the upcoming Spring 5K Walk scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2009 which will need help. Ms. Nora Miller (gym teacher) is in charge.

Most discussion involved establishing specific committees to work on during 2009 and recruiting alumni volunteers to chair and sign up for the individual committees. Harry will post on website:

> Museum/History Room
> Publicity/Communications
> Recognition

Kris Fletcher will investigate process for becoming 501-c3.

Connie (Nichols) Marro will investigate accredited alumni associations and the cost of membership.

Ozzie Cheban suggested that at least one Alumni Association member should attend monthly PTO meetings each month to be aware of their activities.
> Next PTO General Meeting is Thursday, January 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the School Library
