Publicity – Ozzie Cheban
Antonio Prado from Community News publications is doing an article to be published in papers beginning Tuesday, 10/14
Jack Ireland of The News Journal is doing a sports article which will run in the Crossroads section on Thursday, 10/23
Various websites have posting of events

Alumni Association Website – Harry Rogerson
Website is up and running and well received --200 registrants to date
It was suggested and voted on to change the word “history” to “tradition” in our Mission Statement
Since Alumni Blog isn’t getting much response, it will be deleted from the website
Alumni Guestbook is new link

Homecoming Events – October 25, 2008
Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. – Attendees need to call and make reservation with Michelle Feby at 992-5545, ext. 252
Tim Laushey reported he met with the band director and band members. The Alumni Band will play with the pep band.
Middle school will sell yellow mums
Alumni will have a tent for Alumni promotion -- publicize the association, sell license plates and sell bricks
Raffle tickets will be sold for a 32” LCD TV with DVD player at $5/ticket. Proceeds will go to Athletic Boosters
Ozzie will investigate getting some vintage cars

License Tags – Mary Ellen (Dailey) Vitsorek
To date, 16 license plates have been purchased

Brick Pavers – Faith Simpers
One brick sold to date
Order forms were distributed to attendees
Proceeds from bricks will go to Alumni fund and support school projects

Football Players – Bob Smith (not present)
Buck will contact Bob and suggest he and Gerry attend a practice and talk to the players

Cheerleaders – Geri (Renai) Brainard
Geri attended a practice and discussed the relevance of Cherokee and Love and Honor cheers. She also demonstrated and taught these cheers to the current cheerleaders.
It was suggested Geri’s name be added as a contact on our website to recruit some former cheerleaders to assist and attend the game on 10/25.

Dance/Auction (Beef & Beer) – Ozzie Cheban
Dan Bargelski, PTO coordinator, asked for volunteers to help at the November 22, event at the Hockessin Fire Hall – 6-11 p.m. He handed out flyers and silent auction donation forms.
Alumni Association (Ozzie) has 100 tickets to sell - $35/person; $60/couple
Alumni Association requested a table in the vestibule at the event to sell license plates and bricks and publicize the Association

Alumni Band – Kris Fletcher
Kris reported the Alumni Band’s new mission will be to support performing arts at Conrad
Fundraiser's include selling alumni wear (sweat shirts, etc.) and they would like to sell some of these at the Homecoming events
Percentage of proceeds will go to Alumni Band to help purchase more merchandise, but majority of proceeds will go back to the current Conrad band
They plan on advertising to encourage alumni to come to the events

Volunteers Needed
There was discussion around having a volunteers/classifieds section on the website soliciting alumni who have specific talents that could donate their help with school projects that needed completion

Principal Pruitt can furnish a “wish list” of projects
Principal Pruitt stated that this is Choice season and asked that when possible, we promote Conrad as a school “choice.”
